'Heroes' starts in the UK tomorrow (Monday 19th of February) on the Sci-Fi channel at 10pm with a double episode, apparently it's amazing and one of the best new shows to come out of America, even making superheroes "cool" according to my TV guide, i just thought i'd remind people!
I'm sure Shane will have something to say about this, he told me it's better than Lost!
Sci-Fi are stupid for putting it on at the same time as Prison Break though...
Here's the Trailer:

The Sci-Fi channel is channel 129 on Sky.
If you aren't from the UK, Sky is the UK's digital Satellite TV service.

I agree with Shane, Heroes is far better then Prison Break.
Episode 16 is aired tonight in the US, so i'll be downloading it in the morning!

I've recorded it, not watched it yet. Sci-Fi have totally fucked up the recording times though on Sky+, it's lucky that i watch 'Medium' (which is on before Heroes), otherwise i'd have missed the beginning...

It was a huge hit for Sci-Fi last night, getting the highest ratings the channel has ever had, the viewing figures dropped after the first episode, but it's still impressive for a relatively small channel like Sci-Fi. Prison Break still owned it though, receiving 1.7 million viewers.
Heroes proved a ratings winner for the Sci-Fi channel last night, with the first episode pulling in the channel's highest ever audience and best multi-channel prime time position in its 12 year history.
The show attracted an audience of 622,766 adults and a 4.3% share, and generated the highest prime time TVR (percentage of potential audience viewing a channel) of 0.94 and a 2.4% share.
Nick Betts, Sci-Fi's managing director, said: "This result is a spectacular way to start the series' run. It more than validates the belief we had in the show the moment we saw it at last year's LA Screenings and reflects the hard work everyone at Sci-Fi has put into launching it."
Billed by the channel as "Lost meets X-Men", Heroes follows the tale of a group of ordinary people who discover they have special powers that will ultimately change the world.
The show has been hit in the US, giving NBC its best new show performance for 5 years, and a weekly audience of over 15 million, as well as receiving two Golden Globe nominations.
Now all Sci-Fi need to do is DISPLAY IT IN WIDESCREEN!!!! The 4:3 picture has been getting loads of people complaining, hopefully they will listen.
I'll be watching it later, i'll post my impressions when i have watched it.

Just watched it. I like it, it's not amazing (yet), but it's definitely showing promise. I found Hiro quite irritating though, he seemed to like shouting everything with stupidly high levels of enthusiasm. Apart from that though i really liked it, can't wait for next week's episode.
I'll still be watching Prison Break and recording Heroes though :p My Dad watches them both and he prefers PB, and unless Heroes suddenly blows my mind with amazing-ness i'll be preferring PB too. Although PB has been getting stupidly far fetched recently (how the fuck did they know the exact spot to dig?!?!), lol.

Trust me it gets better, you'll realise the 3rd episode is better than the 2nd, then 4th better than the 3rd and so on. As soon as things start coming together you'll realise how amazing it is. I like Hiro, hes funny.
I watched Episode 16 today, well good, a lot more of the Heroes used their powers which was good.
Everything gets shown in widescreen these days anyway

Hmm, i'd say watch it and give it a chance, but i'm not sure if it's your kind of thing really. I've recorded the first two episodes for Batty on a video (the peasant can't afford Sky, lol), when he's done with the tape i could lend it you if you want, i've edited out the adverts too, aren't i nice xD
PS: a Videotape, how retro, lol.

It doesn't get truly good until the 5th Episode or so. I have just watced the 16th and I was blown away by the twist towards the end of that.

I wouldn't say that, i think it's overrated, but far from 'shite'. I just wish the story would actually go somewhere, it's getting like Lost with the whole "we wont tell you anything until the season finale" drip feed style. That Hiro is really irritating me though i'm afraid, he's too happy and perpetually excited. Other than that though i'm quite enjoying it, it's definitely picked up since i last posted :)
