Gosh, this is really making me wonder, for goodness sake they have a monoply game for everything... It is getting pretty old, but on the other hand each of them seem to be a little different.

The only time they'll stop remaking the games is when Monopoly stops making money.

October 30th '05, 07:42 PM
Nothing wrong with Monopoly. The main reason they make so many versions is to make it popular for every country, and as many types of person as possible. I mean I personally hate the Irish version. But I have played it, as well as the French and British versions and I have seen many others, I find some of them interesting, they sometimes give you an insight into other countries, not much but enough to spark interest.

October 30th '05, 07:44 PM
Over here evewry time they make a movie or T.V. show it gets turned into a Monopoly game. That adds up to over 100 new versions every year.
Haunting_Echoes
October 30th '05, 07:46 PM
Yeah, that would get annoying, but as I say, they are appealing to the masses, if a film does well in the box office, then by all means the game will probably become popular. Because it links back to the film memorabelia.

Let's keep this short and simple.
1.Monopoly gets made.
2.Monopoly gets sold.
3.Lots of money.
As long as this process continues there will be no end to it.

October 30th '05, 08:04 PM
Yeah, I can imagine, we don't have that so much over here. But here is pretty much a hole in the ocean. We don't get a lot of anything. Heh. >.>

October 30th '05, 09:48 PM
Im sure it is good for collectors out there.

Haunting_Echoes
October 30th '05, 09:55 PM
Oh there are. Look at the Guiness Book Of Records, you can usually find Monopoly there somewhere.

Games of monopoly can last for hours sometimes, which makes it more fun if you're in the mood.

Wow, i never really realized how strongly people actually feel about this...
But anyway, another thing that just makes my head spin is all the stupid "life" games they have now too. Spongebob has one now to.. It was gonna happen sometime anyway...

No one plays with me anymore.
Not after they found out that i always cheated to win.
Not always...but most of the time.

Well no one likes to play with a cheat. Thats why I don't play it with my brother or my mum anymore and I only let someone be the banker if they are not playing the game! :P
