I've made the poll multiple choice, as you may enjoy watching different sports to those you enjoy playing. I've tried to include the main sports, but there is an "other" option if you have other favourites.

A method of organized competition probably developed so that people wouldn't have to kill each other to resolve differences. Once they got started, people probably found out it was fun so formalized the competitions and so we got baseball and soccer.

Athletics isn't different sports.

Athletics are track and field events which include 100m sprint, 200m sprint, 400m sprint, 800m, high jump, long jump, discus throw etc etc....
