Compliment, thanks, then?

Quick and simple question that I could never find the answer to:
You compliment a girl (or a boy for that matter).
She (or he) says "Thanks!".
Now, do you "You're welcome." her (him) or...?

I'm asking because "You're welcome." sort of sounds as if you're doing them a favor, which sort of implies that they AREN'T good in whatever you complimented them about... Yes, no?

I think you can't go wrong in a compliment no matter what it is the most probaly gonna feel glad you said it.

Theres lot's of things you can say instead of ''You're Welcome'' Sometimes you don't have to say anything your facial expressions say it for you.

- It's okay
- It's true
- No problem
- *Smile*
- *Another Compliment*
- Welcomies :D - I like that word now :D

Don't think you have to rely on words facial expressions say more sometimes. :)

As long as you can back a compliment up with a valid reason for giving it, it's okay. Just incase they quiz you on it. ;)

Haha as long as they arent back handed compliments like my Gran tends to use like "you're not as fat as you used to be" etc then you can't go wrong, sometimes a simple smile means more than words.

Pff, your gran sounds nice =/ lol... I get... 'have you put on more weight' and... 'have you shaved your head again, look like you've just got out of prison' =/ I love my grandparents.
