Re-Makes

I was just thinking why do people have to ruin songs by making them again.

Sorry for any fans of Niche but thats a prime example of crap re-makes, here are two of the worst ever(Not Niche but crap anyhow) they could NEVER compare to the originals

Poison- which was originally made by Alice Cooper and Groove Coverage RUINED it
Sweet Child O' Mine- Originally by Guns n Roses and some horrid woman brought it out and ruined it again

Anyone else know of any terrible re-makes?

summer of '69.. i dunno who re made it but it absolutely sucks! and could never compare to bryan adams.

i think it was atrayu..i may be wrong, who re-made bon jovi's 'you give love a bad name' .. they really ruined that one.

two exapmles of GOOD re-makes tho:
the ataris re-make of 'boys of summer' - that was good.
and murerdolls re-make of 'white wedding' thats a good one too.

I think its harder to do a remake than bring out a new song. With a remake, people are always comparing you to the original artist, wheras when you bring out an original people have to just make up their mind about the song itself.

I guess that, as with anything, you get some good remakes, and some bad ones.
