Ok, this is a copy of a post I've made on my own website, so it is in no way directed at you guys. I'm sick of bad spelling and grammar, so here is a little guide for you all to take a look at.

So here we go:

To = (I'm going to the shops)
Too = As well (I want to do that too)
Two = 2

Which = (which one is that?)
Witch = Female Wizard

Weather = The kind of stuff that Grant talks about on Sunrise in the mornings
Whether = (I don't know whether or not that's a good idea)

They're = They are
Their = Belonging to a group of people (it is their soccer ball)
There = Over there - as opposed to over here

Bought = (I bought this from the shops)
Brought = (I brought this with me)

Your = It belongs to you
You're = You are

It's = It is
I'm = I am
Can't = Can not
We're = We are
Aren't = Are not

Pirates = More than one pirate
Pirate's = (The pirate is...)
Pirates' = Belonging to the pirate

Company = one company
Companies = more than one company
Company's = (The company is...)

As you can see, the apostrophe is used to replace a letter or series of letters. It can be used to shorten the phrase "can not" to "can't" by replacing the letters n and o with the apostrophe. By placing 's at the end of a word it generally is replacing the word "is".

Hope this has cleared things up, I'm sorry if I'm coming across as being too condescending.

Well yeah, typn like thi lolz is pretty silly, also its not hard to use commas and capital letters and such. typin in 1337 is also stupid if ya aint takin the piss.

Slight changes or accent is fine by me as long as its english and readable.

Hell on an old forum I used to go on I used to get bollocked all the time because it wasn't "proper english" apparently.

I type how I speak and thats with a yorkshire accent, its faster, easier, readable, and me. I dont lay on the full yorkshire so its still readable, and either way its tough because a yorkshire accent IS an english accent, so basically it is english, just in a different form, maybe with a small typing error here and there but I normally edit those out if I see em anyways.

Also check this out that I saw somewhere, proves that even things that might appear unreadable at first arnt so hard:

Can you raed tihs? Olny srmat poelpe can.I cdnuolt blveiee taht

Either way its best for everyone if english is used, with a good degree of respect to grammer and punctuation, but with me as long as its english, readable and not totally stupid or lazy, tis fair enuf.

So you agree that when I get the rules page back up that this should eba rule?

txt typing or 1337 talk will not be tolerated in 'Serious' threads, please keep all this behaviour to the Spam Forum is you absolutely feel that you need to do it.

Or soemthing along those lines??

Serious threads such as debate and so on yeah.

Id only say warn someone if theyre using 1337 Sp33k or whatever constantly though, If its just taking the piss or making a funny point or whatever, and standard abbreviations and local dialect (long as its english) should be ok.

Ive seen that piece of text before Bobby.
Yeah sometimes its best to write in standard english (bloody hell, like being at school *grr*)
But yeah... okay I will put my AS english language skills into place...
you can write "formal" but "friendly" Formal, by having standard english within your posts, and friendly by using forms of sarcasm, and general friendly chit chatty stuff.

Yeah, I want me and you to meet up again soon to discuss things such as the rules and stuff. Get some real serious work done! ;)

Grammar is a beautiful thing. It makes you look so much more intelligent when you can type and write properly.

It makes me smile.

True, but if you are already intelligent enough then theres no need to try and prove it to everyone for the sake of it.

If you're havin an argument/serious discussion, or just naturally speak that way then fair enough, theres just no need to force it thats all.

Better to speak how ya normally would, as long as its tolerable of course.

Yah, but also, its easier for people to read when you write properly, and if you dont speak properly on things like the internet, then its been proven to lower your IQ.

I'm not as bothered about grammar when it's written but when it's being spoken I am constantly correcting people. I think the odd abbreviated word is okay but when it is all is leak or in text talk it gets a bit confusing.
