Hey i just want to know what all you american guys think about Ireland....more importantly what do you think about the way it is run...IRA etc? I was talking to a guy from Florida once who said that he was coming over to Ireland to meet his cousin who was a member of the IRA and valiantly fighting for his country's freedom or some crap like that...I am not going to involve my political views here because ill probs get banned or reported or something so anyways...what do you guys think? Sorry if this should be in politics section....

Some parts of Ireland are too pretty, its like Iceland, it makes you really jealous you don't live there :(, also makes you wanna load up that Dynaxx 7D and purchase a ticket to go take some really nice Panoramics of the lands its so beautiful.

Why do you think you'll get banned? Do you want to kill all English or something? Wouldnt suprise me. Everyone else does.

You think Ireland's nice. Come to Sheffield. Greenest city in Europe. Sure there might be some areas that look a bit run down, but the bits that arent are nice and green.

The IRA has nothing to do with how the country is run.

They are classed as a terrorist organisation in England and Ireland (interestingly however not so in America) who want their country to be purely Irish, similar to the BNP political party in England.

The IRA has a great deal to do with how the country is run....mainly because when the government is not suspended it is run by a coalition and one of the major parties is Sinn-Fein, the militant branch of whom are the IRA. The leader and deputy leader of SF have both confessed in the past to having been members of the organisation but cannot due jail time due to the good friday agreement. Yeah, really the only reason why they are not classed as militant terrorists in the states is because everyone who does not have the first clue about Ireland just assumes that it is a Country of its own and doesnt reckognise the definitive political split between North and South. Its pretty troubling actually that people can overlook the existance of the IRA and its Nationalist influence in the running of government however this is overlooking the existance of numerous Loyalist paramilitary groups fighting against this such as the UVF/LVF/UDA.
