OMG HOSTEL 2 COMES OUT IN 3 DAYS. i cant wait. if its anything like hostell one it will be 1 Million stars out of 10.

I actually thought the first one was shit, seeing as the first half was basically Eurotrip, and I thought it ended at a random place. But now there's a sequel I reckon its going to be pretty fucking good.

i think it was the gore that i liked.. still. scary to know its based on a true story.... but then again the word being BASED, i spose they can change it so much its pretty much false in the end.

but i still thought it was great

I really didn't like Hostel 1 (if it weren't for the truly abysmal 'Lady in the Water', 'Hostel' would have been my worst film of 2006), i didn't even think the gore was that good either to be honest, the majority of the stuff seemed to happen off screen with the camera cutting away at the last second.

When i saw it i was expecting something like 'Saw', but instead it was just 'Eurotrip' with 20 minutes of fairly tame (for an 18 rated film) violence added on to the end (maybe i'm just de-sensitized to violence now, lol) :/

And the whole "Based on a True Story" thing doesn't mean that those exact events happened, it just means that the idea of an organization that lets you kill people is based on a true idea.

I'll still probably see 'Hostel: Part II', but i'm not expecting much from it, especially since an early print was 'accidentally' leaked on the internet and is getting mainly negative opinions from people.

I think the sequel will be so much better, because the twist at the end was pretty good, although I hadn't enjoyed basically rewatching a sickening verison of Eurotrip I was still pretty interested by the end.
