Hi there,
I'm just writing in to see if there are any people out of there who are like me.. I'm 19 nearly 20 and I moved to a non-english speaking country about a half a year ago, missed my friends and found it difficult making friends over there regardless of whether they spoke english or not! Now I'm back in my hometown and realise that most, not all but most of my old friends have gone their own ways, have boyfriends/girlfriends that they latch onto and everything has just changed between us. I met up with another few people(that seemed to be like me) and, yet again, they don't seem to be interested in being my friend...it's not that I try too hard or anything..I suppose I'm one of those people who are obsessed with music and art(I know that sounds pretencious!!) and they're the only two things I can talk passionately about..I can't seem to talk about political, ethical issues etc..not that I'm not interested in them, I just prefer to talk about music and art instead!!! Anyway, it's really getting me down that I can't seem to meet new friends, I feel boring and uninteresting and just plain freakin wierd, haha. ANYONE out there who's going through this or has done already??? Sorry about the length and the whinnyness that I may have accidently gotten across!!!! xxxx

when i first moved to the U.S. i had no idea how to speak english.. but i learned the language.. met some new cool people with my same interests.

so maybe meet some new people. it doesn't have to be you'r old friends if they aren't interested.

Aww honey you're not broing there's nothing wrong with you I love music and art and there are other people out there who will have the same interests as you if people can't like you for who you are then damn them, they don't deserve your friendship or respect just ignore people like that.
I was basically an outcast at School with very few friends that cared about me the ones that stayed true to me were only a few but my point is you will find some good friends and it's better to have a few good friends than a bunch of bad ones, so my point is don't change yourself for anyone it's not worth it I tried that once and it wasn't a very good road so I got off it in time thank god.
Anyways, I was an outcast everyone hated me even some of the Teachers were real bitches I was really bad at math still am and I was always bugged for that too and then I dropped out which I don't suggest you do because you need your grade 12 for numerous things if you plan to get a job afterwards, a good one that is.
But anyways, hope this helped somewhat.

it seems really familar with me of the situation your in. exept i'm younger & haven't finished school yet.
i guess when you left, everybody moved on. which is a signal for you to do.
keep your self occupied with things, get a job find new friends with same/different interest. you can do so0o much. just wait and make an effort

I have been through this before...
All my friends just didnt talk to me anymore...
But I did find new ones...
I think you just need to find someone with the same interests as you...
