I have just watched the new doctor who. Has anyone else watched it?
I thought it was pretty good, the effects are alot better than compared to the doctor who series made 20 years back! :P
Missed when the next episode is showing though, anyone else catch that bit?

Why?! It was pretty god further on. Doctor Who is about as good as British Television gets.

Im nearly 18 and I far prefer the old Doctor Who to the new one. The effects look bad now, yes but they were good for the time, in the same way we will look back on today's Doctor Who and laugh at the effects and acting!
Old Who was better not just because the storylines were far better-written, but . . .

And my favourite Doctor has to be Jon Pertwee.
He had the best ever episode of Doctor Who - INFERNO (1970): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfJINBvvHLE
and two videos to prove that Pertwee was the best:

I watched the trailer for last night's episode and it firther proved that I hate nu-who.
The destruction of reality itself? CRAPPEST STORYLINE EVER!
and they introduced Davros as if it was his first story! Give me the Classic Davros any day!:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDSWRSZGuco (clip starts off with Hitler - but this is to prove that Davros is far more of a ranter than Hitler)
Compare last nights crap storyline (probably best of the new series - apart from the Empty Child which is the new series' best attempt to look like Classic Who) with Inferno from 1970.
The Doctor (Jon Pertwee - 1970-1974), in the middle of his exile on Earth by the Time Lords, attends a government project to drill through the Earth's crust to tap a new energy source. Unfortunatly, to cut a long argument short, the Doctor (who obviously knows about this kind of thing) doesn't get on at all with the project's leader, Professor Stahlman, who thinks he knows about this kind of thing - which is why both he and the Doctor constantly argue. Meanwhile, scientists who work there are finding a suspicious green slime, who turn into primordal, shrieking humanoid creatures when they touch it (their body temperature heats up so much it can burn a hole in a wall) and their skin turns dark green.

Meanwhile, in a nearby hut, the Doctor has taken the TARDIS console
http://www.themindrobber.co.uk/tardis-sounds/new-tardis-time-monster.jpg
out of the TARDIS (console comes apart) to do some repairs and bypass the Time Lords' control over it (to make sure he stays on Earth). When he is engaged in an experiment with it, professor Stahlman cuts off the Doctor's power supply, which takes power from the nuclear generator at the plant.
The Doctor arrives in what appears to be the same hut but with no-one there. After noticing a few differences, he then ventures out and is caught by guards and it accused of being a spy as he knows the names of the people there (same people, but then again, different) and also what the project is for. He later works out that he has slipped sideways into an alternative dimension (alternative timeline would be a better description as different things happen to us in that timeline).
In that dimension, Britain is a brutal dictatorship and the project there is two days ahead of our project. After some mind games and brutal interrogation techniques, the Doctor eventually shows the TARDIS console to both the Brigade leader (brigadier in our world) and Liz Shaw, who, in our world, is the Doctor's companion, but who is working for the army over there - I can't remember what rank she is).
Luckily for the Doctor, there is just enough power in the console for a demonstration. He lands back in the same place about 5 seconds later in the same dimension.
It is then that the drill drills through the earth's crust.
It is after they return to the project that the base starts getting infiltrated by the people infected with this green slime, who will turn anoyone else into one of them should they touch them. After a lot of pondering, they fight off the creatures with fire extinguishers (the creatures' reflexes start to slow down if they are cold). While all this is happening, volcanic explosions are happening all around the plant and around the planet!!!
They all make it back to the Doctor's hut, where the Doctor explains that he can't take any of them to his dimension as it would shatter the space/time continuum of all doimensions. While being infitrated by the Brigade leader, who is trying to force the Doctor to take them with him, then he is shot by Liz Shaw. The earth eventually rips open (literally) and literally EXPLODES into one massive ball of lava and flames just as the Doctor - who now has his TARDIS console connected up to the nuclear reactor for power - attempts to set off.

http://tachyontv.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/2007/10/05/inferno6b.jpg
That is where episode 6 ends, as the Doctor tries to take off, with lava quickly approaching the hut!!!
The Doctor arrives back in our dimension, in a coma and again, no-one listens to him at first as he has just recovered from a coma (I can see where Life on Mars took it's idea from :D). Eventually, as stahlman turns into a Primord (super hot green-man syndrome), he is fought off with fire extinguishers. The Doctor goes into the drill base in the nuclear plant to repair the drill controls. He then de-activates the drill via a control panel literally about 30 seconds before it penetrates the Earth's crust.
Now let's see the new series come up with something as brilliant as that!

Your lucky i saw the episode earlier tonight before reading this, lol.
I knew David Tennant was staying! He's just a cool doctor!
And everyone went back to their own worlds/parallel worlds, yayness!
though i felt sad for the dr, who sad it must be to watch someone you love be with a guy who is you, but you yourself cannot feel it or be with that person :(
And poor Donna, i loved her, Catherine Tate humour throughout the series :)
Now i gotta wait til Christmas...Loooooooong!
