Ahem. may i remind you i can be long winded with RE games. that being said

Resident Evil 4 does what The orignal Resident Evil did in '97. Some back story. The True orignal survival horror game was Alone in the Dark. however i thought it was a bust even when it came out. scary yes but sucked. Resident Evil turned the genre into a great franchise. but now with RE 4 most of the nitpicking stuff has been taken care of. Gone is the pre rendered scenes. all scenes are done in real time. so now you have a camrea that stay behind you character and moves to help you in your adventure. story: Leon (RE 2) has been hired by the govenment to protect the president's daughter. however before he was assigned duty. (heh heh doodie. heh heh dirarria.) she kidnapped. sources indicate that she was taken to somewhere in Europe... ahem... and somewhere where the inhabitants are fluent with the grimmer side of the spanish language. (Pendejo, puto, etc.) anyways he discover a plot to destroy america and put under control of a parasite (not a virus) called las plaga. the thrid person view of the game gives you the ability to actually aim at different body parts. IE legs to make someone trip, arms to make them drop their weapons, head to kill em and so on. however head shots arent always recommended. since some eneimes have protective helmets or even a deadlier parasite jumps out from it. there are three different parasite poppers... i call them. but first the AI. this game is smart. not Halo 2 smart but damn near. The people will conrer you in a house and then come in from all opening to get you. they usually insist on ganging up on you. if you point the gun at their head they try to duck under it. (oh yeah the aiming is done by laser pointing which help out a bit.) there are many enemies but no zombies. i am sad to say that umbrella died at the beginning intro of the game. most of the orignal plot died there but revived in the end. however the Gandos (village people and anything that is remotely human) take the place of zombies as most plentful enemy. also Novisitoras take the place of hunters and lickers. the stange insect like creature make you wanna run for cover when you see em. my suggesting get into a one way tunnel or back up against a wall and unload with the shotgun. Regenetors, spiked (called iron Maidens) and normal, are what i found the most annoying fuckers in the game... aside from Krauser. other than that most of the enemies fit into those three descriptions. aside from teh bosses which are easy yet hard. one thing i must and lemme say it again MUST MUST MUST do is keep the controllor in your hands at ALL TIMES. why cause those pretty little cutscences have times when a specifc button press must be used to avoid a complecating thing like i dunno DEATH. so to get this straight (and even i havent completly learned it) Controllor on Floor/bed/chair=DEATH. most of the enemies have special one hit kills. in other words if you get to a close range to a dude or lady with a chain saw that head is gone. one boss has big mouth and will munch you down if you dont move. you could even be impalded through the face with the blindmen. so be careful. a nice little addition is that some of the harder hitting attacks from bosses can be dodged. other than tha my only concern is that there is no strifing. but that is just a little thing compared to how it once was

10/10
