He keeps calling! (long, sorry! please read!)

so, there's this boy.

i've had a crush on him since about...the beginning of april. In the middle of June, we had an end of the year dance. I decided to be brave and do something that I'd normally never do and i asked him to the dance. He told me no, because he had a girlfriend that I didn't know about.

Thing is, he acts like he has a HUGE crush on me. So, when he rejected me, he sounded really upset and sad.

THEN.

Life moved on, the two of us pretty much pretended like it had never happened.

On the last day of school, I decided to tell him that I liked him because I thought he had just forgotten about the whole dance thing. So, I told him and said that I knew nothing would come of it because of his girlfriend, but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

I told him because it was summer and I wouldn't talk to him for 3 months. He said back to me: Ah, it's alright. I haven't forgotten about the dance thing. But we can still talk!

I didn't expect anything to really happen!

He's been calling me for the past three nights and we've talked for about an hour every time.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN??!?!?!

he still has the girlfriend.....

I don't know, some guys are like that but it may not mean anything, he might just be being friendly, I don't know though.

In my opinion, it would be easier if they just told us. haha. You did something I could never do, I'm too chicken for it :(.
But it does sound like he likes you a bit, but he just might like his girlfriend more so doesnt want to do anything about it. Did you know him properly, like speak to him a lot and become friends, before the time you asked him to the dance?

I see two opportunities
The one is that he likes you but is scared that if he breaks with his girlfriend and nothing move on between you and him, he would stay alone. May be he just wants to be sure you like him.
You won`t like the second one but it comes to my mind. Some boys want variaty, so he may just want to sleep with you. Think about it.

He could be goin through a rough patch with his girlfiend and to comfort himself a little more during this time he is relating to you who he knows has a crush on him. its like a feel good factor too him since he is going through a tough stage in his relationship.
