Hi all.

This isn't to do with me but my nearly 17 year old brother.

He sometimes gets really bad BO and doesn't shower for days on end. He will try to mask the smell but putting on so much deodrant that even my fish who are at the opposite end of the house to him can smell it! (Not literally). I am good friends with his girlfriend and she says that he will shower at hers so why not here?

It's disgusting and it makes my stomach turn. I have a shower every day without fail but he's tried to blame the smell on me!! *Slaps brother*

How can I tell him to buck his ideas up and start showering regularly?

Just tell him the thruth straight out and that he needs to shower and use deodrant regularly. If it doesn't sink in be more assertive and maybe get someone else to tell him too.

Attach a small rope to your couch. Move your couch into the hallway. Next time he goes for a piss, attach the rope to the doorknob to prevent the door from opening. Tell him you'll only move the couch after he's showered.

Not a practical solution, but at least it'll get your point across.

He has ADHD and flys off the handle easily. I don't want him to take his anger out on me or his girlfriend.
