I can understand why your confused. You cant be expected to know what he wants because by the sounds of it not even he knows. He obviously changeshis mind alot and no one wants a boyfriend thats always changing his mind. If it was as easy of being able to just get over him i would say that but i know its not. I think you should just stand back, and give it time. If he likes you he will make an effort to keep in touch with you and if he doesnt you know hes not the one or anything.
Im totally just rambling now i think ...but just keep clear of him til hes certain what he wants.
