Okay, this isn't actually a review, i feel that to review this would be to do the film an injustice. My advice to you is to avoid ALL reviews for this film, good or bad, and just go and see the film and make up your OWN mind about it. If you liked/loved 'The Simpsons' back in the days of Season 1-10 (i.e. the Golden Years, before it went downhill) i think you'll definitely like this. The film feels very much like a film and not like an extended episode which is a good thing, and i'm pleased to say that there are plenty of laugh out loud moments (the pig, naked skateboarding, i could list everything but that would spoil it for you). It's obvious that the film was written by the original writers as the quality of writing and jokes is much higher than that of the recent episodes.
When i went in to the cinema i had low expectations and had avoided all reviews and tried to avoid the trailers as well, if you do that as well then i'm sure you'll love it as much as i did.
I didn't like Green Day doing the theme tune though, it almost felt blasphemous, lol.
Other than that minor thing though, Go and see it!!!
PS: It looks like 'Transformers' (which also opened today) is getting royally owned by this in the UK, 'The Simpsons' were selling out pretty quickly and all the later showings were listed as "Sold Out", whereas tickets for 'Transformers' were still widely available, not even listed as "limited". Way to go Release Date guys! :/
