Dye Or Don't?

Well I have a picture of me in my profile but my hair is pulled back it's about shoulder length it has kind of blonde highlights at the bottom but that's from dying it a light brown a long time ago my natural hair color is a lightish darkish kinda brown, anyways let's just say it's brown I've dyed it blonde, black, red, alot of colors last time I dyed it black it was really short but it didn't look good short but now that my hair is longer now and I don't want to cut it too short again, should I dye it black?
I've really been considering it.

i've been there and it doesn't end well.

it also completely fucks up your hair if you want to dye it a different colour, you have to have the colour completely stripped.

I wouldn't dye it black. It's so hard to get out if you end up dyeing it another color.
