The Admin team have been discussing how best to manage the workload of running TF in an appropriate manner, as it’s unsustainable to expect Shane to do everything, and also unfair. TF plays a large part in many of our lives, and even has created a social circle for many of us, and Shane has a life too lol.
Anyway, we’ve come up with a splitting of responsibilities system, which won’t only benefit Shane, but will benefit the rest of the forums too. All of the said sections have crossover, they’ve just been allocated a leader. It now means that the forum doesn’t have to wait for Shane to come on to fix menial problems, and it also means that he (or us) won’t have a to-do list of about 300 things when we sign on.
It makes it easier for us to run the site, and for you guys to know who go to, and for what.
Shane still holds a veto over decisions he’s unhappy with, but apart from that, these are sections of our responsibility now.
This will make the site run more smoothly, and there will be future staff re-structuring and movement in line with these changes, with the strengths of our great staff being put to their best use in the following sections;
TF Maintenance
General Site maintenance (fixing bugs, adding features, etc) - Shane + Devil
Sub-Sections;
1. Graphics and Design
Overseeing and implementing new and exciting Graphic designs into the TF Concept. - Shane
2. Programming
Address issues related to usage, usability and errors - Add requested features that all Admins and Mods think are awesome, correct current issues in design programming and plugins – Devil
So, if you find a bug on TF, Shane or Devil are the Admins you should contact for a quicker response.
Forum moderation
Security Based. Manages the new reporting system, and deals mainly with questions and issues about moderation, dividing topics into relevant sections and general site tidiness and security upkeep. – Bob!
Spam? Ask Bob! Message to Report? Bob!. Bob! Bob! Bob!
Site Reports/Feedback and Verifications
New system of feedback to be implemented and maintained, streamlining current reporting/feedback procedures and creating a smoother system, making use of an already existing plug-in with added Research and development. – Devil + Bob!
Same as the above two really, Bob or Devil are the best Admins for speed on these issues.
Advertising, sponsors and Promotion
Online and Offline oversight of said sections, encouraging the expansion of the Teenageforums Concept online and offline. – Shane and Devil
Staff Coordination
A kind of, in-house HR department, Resolving staff issues, such as conflict, ensuring members of staff are comfortable in their roles, disciplinary procedures, and overseeing allocation of members to existing, and new staff roles such the need arise. – God.
If you have a problem with a member of staff, I’m your man. If you’re staff and need help? I’m your man. In fact, I am THE Man.:)
