Oasis - fantastic or overrated?

I love Oasis but I know a lot of people consider them to be vastly overated. I tried to get tickets for their Nottingham Arena date the other day but they sold out in two minutes. Bit pissed off to find them on ebay an hour later at 4 times face value.

Don't Believe The Truth was a very average album, but What's The Story & Definately Maybe are brilliant albums & they effectively re-started a British music revolution!

I dont listen to cold play either! and if you had read another post i mentioned one song i knew and come to think of it i know a song called all around the world but have never payed attention to the artist. Lyla I've heard of too. Again, didnt take no notice of the artist. I like Fall out boy, panic at the disco, lostprohets,kasabian,the fray,all american rejects,evanescence,the foriegner,gwen stenfani,snowpatrol,il divo,julio inglesias, james morrison, phil collins,whitney houston,pearl jam ...the list goes on.

Look, Im not a big fan of many artists, I hear a song i tell someone the lyrics and the tune ,hoping they could tell me the name of the artist then i get that song. AND I HAVE HEARD OF OASIS! earlier on i got someof their music from someone, and whilst i listen to them I recognised a few and I liked them I just never took any notice of the artist in the past, I wish people would just stop treating it as if its a crime.
