I'm 18, nearly 19, my career choice, I have no idea. Just got to ride it out and look into some things that may interest you and see what jobs there are in that field. If you aren't sure still, there's places that will help you if you ask at a college/school they can tell you where to get some career advice.

I have changed my mind over my future career 3 times in the past six months, right now I'm currently settled on journalism, but we'll see.

The good thing is that we're still young and it's ok to change our minds. But hey, people change their minds even when they're 40 and already set in their careers. I'm trying not to worry about it too much.

I know a guy (my friends dad) whos like 45 and he decided on a change of career, so he's doing a degree.
I didn't know until this year I wanted to do something scientific, and not until this month that I wanted to do medicine :P. I used to want to go into journalism, then into photography, then into the police force then a nutritionist so as you can see I've changed my mind quite a few times. :P
Basically I'm likely to change my mind in the future but I've managed to find something I really am interested in and I'm going to pursue that, but keep my options open by managing to get a wide scope of qualifications etc.
Don't worry about it too much, its never too late to change your mind and if you work hard you'll get into whatever you want anyway.
My brother is doing a degree in computer science but he discovered it wasn't for him, so he's working at the side on the university paper, has won various awards for it, was contacted by one of the top people in the guardian because they saw his work and wanted to make sure he got a career in it after university and is going back to uni for a year when he's finished his computer science degree to do a degree in politics.

Having a plan for your future, aspiritions and goals, is not always such a bad thing. You have alot of time to decide though, so you're right. Don't let anyone pressure you. :)

They said to us when we were 15/16 that we had to have a clear idea of which uni we wanted to go to, and what course :/
I've decided I REALLY don't wanna go to uni. Too expensive, and I really don't wanna move away (Sheffield Uni and Sheffield Hallam NO courses I'm even remotely interested in, pfffft), plus there's nothing I feel that I enjoy enough/am good enough at to justify spending 2/3/4 years of my life on it. So yea......I'm in sixth form at the min, and I seem to be the only one who isn't going to Oxbridge O.o it's scary how clever 99% of the people around me are, I've no idea how I got there.
So yea....believe me, there ARE people in the same position! Hopefully you're at a more understanding coll/sixth form than me.....the teachers don't wanna even know me cos I'm not "one of the beautiful ones" o.O
