I actually quite like Dragonforce.

I listen to everything really, but I like the amazing guitar solos and stuff. But I have to been the mood.

Their guitarist rocks so much more than Slash<and I idolise Slash> So yeah they play the fastest solos I ever heard!

I listened to DragonForce for the first time on my mates iPod on the way back from Alton Towers last week, very fast guitarist. I could barely hear out of my left ear by the time we got back to college, lol.

I like dragonforce, I should be seeing them live in November on the second strike tour.

They are good, but people seem to be under the impression that they are the best power metal, but I often find they play very fast with absolutely no aim. I preffer a bands like power quest personally, who I reccomend checking out.

My favourite album of theirs is Valley of the Damned, I just preffered the earlier stuff. Even though IMO, the recording on the first quality was pretty appaling.

Puts on power metal underpands of steel: Actually they recored their demo under the name of dragonheart.

I still think VOTD is their best album. The songs on the other two albums are less original in my opinion.

I'll just list a few of the power metal ones I like. I will try and put them in some order.

Power-Quest - It is made up of ex-dragonforce members. The promo songs on the website aren't that great, but IMO, if you can pick up any of their cds it would be worth it. They have a few songs on their myspace to listen to http://www.myspace.com/powerquest . I got into them the at the same time as Dragonforce and I preffer Power-quest a little.

Cryonic Temple - They are faster than Power-quest, I found them quite recently. They have some good examples on their myspace too http://www.myspace.com/cryonictemple .

Gaia Epicus - Been into these guys for quite a while as well. http://www.gaia-epicus.com/mp3/Gaia%20Epicus%20-%20Fire%20&%20Ice.mp3

Dark Moor - These guys are good, they have a very good singer. http://www.dark-moor.com/downloads.htm . They are melodic.

3 Inches of Blood - You might like these guys, they are power metal but with screeching vocals http://myspace.com/3inchesofblood .

I assume you know of the big ones like hammerfall and rhapsody?

There are many more, but that will have to do for now as my mind is drawing a complete blank.

I couldn't get into them at first. Then a friend played some of their better songs. A lot of their songs are OK but they have a fair amount of awesome ones as well.

I was actually really dissapointed by Rhapsody's new album. They have changed their style so much.

Yeah he's good, people fortget how fast he has to sing.

They are getting sloppier live though, the guitarists are often quite drunk :P
