This debate is open for the discussion of mainly life being a bitch and messing up your life. Do you believe that everyone has a sole mate?

I don't believe in soul mates.

I think, eventually, we just settle. It's a depressing thought, but I think it's true. We get tired of the search for the perfect person, so we all lower our standards a little in order to achieve just a little bit of happyness.

i dont really believe in fate because i dont like the feel that something is controlling my life...i belive in free will i choose to go places and i choose to fall in love. and soul mates i dont think is true... it all depends on the person and when two people are together long enough they belive it was fate but if they didnt meet then they still would have found someone else... its just up to you to do what you want!

There is no such thing as a sole mate, its just luck that you find someone who is nearly perfect for you. There isnt just one person for you, there are loads...you just cant find them all.

i kinda agree and disagree with you, i mean you got to admit, you can't help your feelings towards someone, thats not for you to do, you can always try and change them but at the end of the day no matter what you will do they will remain. I think sole mates are just people who are very much alike you, it doesnt mean you are meant to be together, it justs means well your so alike you could always try lol.

Soul Mate's dont exsist, and if they do then they are everywhere beacuse no matter how we all put it we all settle. There is something we would rather change or be diffrent.

In life you should have fun and try to be a good person, in the end you will end up with someone!

I Disagree! I think yes there is such thing as soul mates and i believe everyones future is pre-determined, if something happens it was meant to be, if it doesn't it wasn't. If we don't have something or someone to live for, then what is the point? Everything good in life comes in pairs, i believe in life fulfilment when/if we find our other half.

Its a nice idea, that somewere out there is our solemate....but I cant really see it happening.

i do believe in soul mates, there is a perfect person out there for everone!
however i do not believe in fate, life is what you make it and nothing is predetermined. If life was like that, what would be the point of doing anything, if you couldn't change it!?

well no, Fates more like your life was ment to happen like this, not if you didnt do owt then your life would still be the same as if you really tried hard in everything you do. Fates like; if you missed the bus and then the bus that you missed crashed and everyone on it was killed. Then you could say its fate that your still alive. not that I belive in fate, Id call it more luck.

thats actually a very good argument pearson, you may say you dont believe in fate but it depends what you class fate as... and i mean the peopel that were killed in the London Bombs (RIP), a lot of people said they would have normally caught that exact tube that blew up etc, thats fate, isnt it?

I believe in soul mates, "usually" theres someone out there for everyone, but i guess you just gotto make it happen, i dont believe in luck or fate, i believe life is what you make it.

i think that you may find what you believe to be your soul mate but unless they realise it then they will live there life without you. its that simple, i mean there this person i mega like, we've got toones in common, we've pretty much alike lol. but they said no to me for there various reasons which is fare enuff, you can't force someone to love you, but as long as they know how you feel, you never know it may tick sumink in their heads.

Its like what you see in movies, ppl chase after sumone and then the other person dont wanna know, but then they realise.

I think I believe in soul mates but that doesn't necessarily mean that everyone finds their soul mate. Soul mates don't have to be someone of the opposite sex either. Some people have best friends who they class as soul mates, yet they have a partner, it's all about what you think.

I don't believe we go looking for our soul mates, they just happen to be in the same place at the same time, and maybe you don't realise it. Not everyone thihnks they have asoul mate because they haven't yet come into contact with someone who they feel a strong connection with.

"Sole" mates? I think you spelled "soul" wrong, dude. A sole is a part of a shoe. But a "sole" mate would probably be a person that you share shoes with, right? lol. I don't have a "sole" mate nor a "soul" mate.

I believe in people having soul mates however I also believe that more often than not, these mates do not find each other.

Well, many of my opinions are based on my religious beliefs, which state that everyone is created in pairs.. whether we meet them the first time we have a relationship or after a few broken ones is left to be seen. I don't know about you, but it is a nice thought to know that someone somewhere has been destined to be your other half.

But what if you are married and have a cild when you meet this other half life is not so black and white mate. You should I know who my sole mate it's my brother Robert he keeps nicking my shoes but I'm on the verdict of whether there is a soul mate out there for everyone because arn't there more women than men.

i believe in sole mates, i think theres some one out there for every one and if you want to find the right person you've got to search as hard as you can until you find them and when you do find them don't let them go

I don't. I certainly don't believe in soul mates in any spiritual way, 'cause, well, I'm not a spiritual person. And I don't believe there's "the one right person for everyone" because of a few things. First, even a very compatible relationship takes work to make it a good one. Second, a relationship that ends isn't necessarily a failure -- it could have been a great success, and it was simply time that it ended. Third, "one" person? Oh, I wouldn't limit myself. What about all us polyamorous folks? ;)

Human relationships don't work like fantasies. If we accept their real nature, we'd start to have more fulfilling and honest relationships overall.

It's not always going to be a man made for a women, of course there's gonna be same sex pairs.

But I definatly believe in soul mates.
