I've been trying to get to sleep for the last 5 or so hours and was just wondering if anyone knows of any ways to fall asleep
my problem is sometimes i just can't stop thinking!
I've tried warm milk, listening to music and just laying there for hours with my eyes closed.
Its pointless trying to sleep now coz i gotta get up soon.

Lavender sometimes helps. You can put some on your pillow. Or you can have a hot bath with a few drops in before you go to bed.
Just try relaxing a bit before you go to bed.

What do you think about? Are you still in school with exams etc? This could effect your sleeping because of your axiety etc. Or maybe your sleep pattern is pretty fucked up. What time do you usually goto sleep? and how long do you sleep for? And also what time do you usually wake up? Times could also effect it, drop me a little bit more and I might be able to help you. It can be so frustrating when your natural sleep pattern seems to be all over the place. The most common reason for this to happen is stress, either the background sort that is so frequent in today's busy lifestyle, or the type that accompanies a stressful event such as a bereavement or lifestyle change. You do not tell me if there is are underlying causes for your current problems but I suspect there may well be one of the above factors contributing to your sleep disorder.
I advise you to see your doctor and talk to him about it because you could have a more serious underlying condition such as depression. Avoid tea or coffee, this can keep you awake because of all the caffiene.
Hope I helped you a little, tell me more of what you do during day and sleep times and things and I could probably help you more.
Good luck.

I had to have blood tests the other week, because my doctor was worried there was something wrong with me, parly because of my sleep. She wanted tests for Thyroid problems, iron levels etc.
All came back normal.
So I just put down my sleeping/constant tiredness/mild insomnia to stress and 'life' matters, aswell as my age really. Lol.
