And to be honest, me and some of my friends were having a discussion the other day, and when you think about it, those who listen to rock - in whichever form - actually, on the whole, seem to do better academically, when compared to those who then to 'chav' music. Obviously, there's going to be exceptions. But is it the attitiude of the students, their manner which they adopt when fitting into their 'category'? Or something else?

i couldnt imagine having a pair of those. theyre too weird and definately impractical, but then again the type of people who generally wear them are impractical. lol last year i took my mate round scarborough when i was doing parkour and he was trying to do stuff too! well funny!

how are new rocks impractical? they're comfortable (for me, anyway. i s'pose it depends on the shape of your foot, but thats the same with all shoes), they're long lasting, tough, rain/snow/mud proof(unlike converse!), and they look cool too! also they're good for lil midgets like me, they have chunky platforms! i have a pair like the ones above, but just plain black without the flames, and im mate says she'l buy me sum purple 1s of xmas (my bdays jst gone, and she didnt have the money then, so i have to w8 til xmas. anyway.......) but yes pk ben, u have a point, im v impractical in many other ways, but thats jst the way i am. it has nothing to do with the type of shoes i wear!
