What to do?

Me and my friend went out the other week and he met a girl, when we went and sat with her friends the girl who my friend met came over to me and said her friend likes me and wanted my number. So we exchanged numbers and then she went home.

I waited about a week to see if she texted me but she didn't ( I am assuming she is shy ) So I plucked up the courage to text her to ask her out for a drink. She replied "why not, but I am away at the moment so not for the next few days" I replied saying "OK, let me know when you are back"

Now this was last Friday, and I have not heard anything so should I text her? What shall I say as I don't want to see desperate! Or shall I wait a few more days?

She may still be away, and last Friday is now nearly a week ago, texting her again now won't seem desperate at all.

I wouldn't worry about it. She wants to go out and have a drink with you from what it seems and she might not have the time right now. I'd wait for a couple of weeks and if you don't hear from her then text her and ask how she's doing or something... or like what's up.

yeh i agree with emmybaby, why don't you text her cos obv, she wanted your number and she got it and then ask her why she hasn't replied back to your text something along those lines.

Wait for a couple more days because she still may be away, and if you don't hear anything for at LEAST 3 more days from here on, then forget about her and move on. If she didn't get back to you by then then it means she's probably putting you off.
But you could text her if she doesn't get back to you in awhile, and just be like tell me a simple no if you don't want to go out for a drink don't just lead me on and ignore me.
