I'm going skiing in Maine, which is near Boston but mainly New England. Apparently it is meant to be -25 degrees celcius there.

I am leaving on friday.

Anyone got any advice? Lol. I know loads of layers and all, but bri, you might know what it's like?

I went skiing, in Italy a few years back.
dont put sun cream on like indians would, you will burn the rest of your face
wear sun cream
dont go straight down the hill, remember to break
dont fly off the edge like i nearly did....lukily there was a fit instructor to save me,
dont go on black runs (hardest) straight away
have fun!

Hahaha...Well, for starters, Maine isn't near Boston.

Maine isn't horribly cold, nor horribly sunny.

I'd pack a few heavy sweaters and jeans, stuff like that. No skirts or shorts....trust me. It's a wet cold there...which means that it feels a good 10 degrees colder out than it really is. Make sure you pack LOTS of socks. You have to wear them in pairs of three or so...haha. You'll have a blast, I'm sure.

Make sure you eat some Lobster up there. It's amazing....and look for Mooses! They're pretty prominent up in that area.

Have a blast.

YEah, we're flying to Boston then driving to Maine.

I have loads of socks and thick ski socks!

I don't eat lobster (I'm aveggie) but I will look out for moose!

Thanks a lot x

As a Vermonter and Native New Englander I can give you this advice.

New Englanders (Including myself) tend to be very stubborn and do not like to be belittled in anyway.

Loads of layers works to. Pretty much any keeping warm advice.

Next time you visit come to Vermont.

Same environment as Maine, only better ski areas.
