hi everyone,

i am nu here. i have a problem with one of my friend. forgive me if i'm being paranoid. she's 20 years old and she has a 4 yr old son. i am just concerned about her and her son lately. i stayed over her house last week, i couldn't sleep so i went to get a glass of water and watch TV. Now my friend lives in a bungalow and her room is just right next to the kitchen. When I was about to get some water, I heard a whimping noise and I found that her son was cuddling her in his arms. her son sucks his thumb and he was caressing her arms. i told her about this and she says that that's how he sucks his thumb to get comfort. anyway he was rubbing her arms and sucking his thumb and in her sleep my friend asked him if he loved her and he said yes mummy, i love you. he then asked her why she was smiling and she replied because she's so happy to have a cute little boy like him. now i don't have children cos i'm only 18 but things like this should I be worried? i don't know if this is like a mothering thing to do or sexually done.

thanx

I dont think this should be any concern, she could have been crying and he was just trying to comfort her or she could have asked him if he loved her because she needs to know that she has someone. If you are really worried then you might like to ask around, see if anyone has seen or thinks something unusal might be going on.

i think i'm just being paranoid, she is a good mum and she'll always be. she told me once a long time ago her house has been burglared it cud be that and she cudnt stop thinkin about it. i was just concerned that's all i've seen sexual abuse in the papers and the news i don't want anything to happen to my best friend. she didn't have a male role model so yeh i think it's only because she needs protection.

No i totally understand where you are coming from but to be honest i think its a mother that loves her son very much and a little boy that loves his mummy very much, I used to do that when i was younger to my mum x
