Well at college at the mo i'm learning vb.net.
Its quite easy and the programs useful with the colour coding, also corrects recognised code errors automatically and so on.
Try and find somewhere t download vb.net and have a go.

you should try BASIC then go on to pascal or PILOT depending on the type of program and then lead into Q basic then finally FORTRAN.

html is pretty much the most basic, image effects, text effects, like marquee and blinking and that kinda stuff. ALthough it can get pretty complicated as you advance through leaerning html

VB is good cause of the auto corrections to obvious code errors, its also pretty easy to learn once ya get ya head round it, helps if ya think logically.
Just finishing my programmign unit now and really enjoyed it, I'm thinking of going into the programmign business of later life.
And anyways dont worry too much about WHICH language you learn, if you learn and master the techniques, it wont be too hard to adapt to another as the principles will be basically the same, just the wording will be different.
But yeah VB.net is a good one to start with, try and download it from somewhere, (No posting download links in the main forum.)
But yeah if you do get it and if ya want to see an example, I can send you my program and code and itl give ya somethin to refer to. Its only a simple currency converter, but the art of creating it is what ya learn.

Learn HTML then CSS then Javascript then PSP.
You master them and you can make just about any website you want. ;)
Visual Basic is becoming pretty redundant these days.

Yeah, I heard its mainly used in training now. Just to build people up to a level at which they will be capable of doing some decent stuff.

Get a head start, its always good to have a advantage over others. Means you will get things done quicker than them and be praised for it. Also means when it comes down to doing work you will find it easier, do it quicker and have more free time! :P
