So I've known this girl for a while now, and were the closest of friends. She has told me multiple times that I'm pretty much the only guy she respects when it comes to opinion. We talk everyday and sometimes late at night till four in the morning.
Four-ish months ago she got out of a tough relationship and a couple of months later so did her best friend. Ever since then they decided to stay single and only fool around for the rest of the year.
Well her best friend is pretty much going out with someone now, and just wont say it cause of the agreement to stay single. I can tell my friend is concerned about her friend cause shes with the same kind of jerk she always falls in love with. (pretentious pretty boy jocks who pamper a whole bunch of girls at once to get in there pants, and keeps them secret from each other). But my friend is definitely jealous of her finding one guy to be with.
Now a couple of weeks ago I told my friend that I liked her even though I know she doesn't feel the same way. It didn't make anything weird between us. Lately shes been saying things that show that shes starting to like me, but I think she doesn't realize it because she is used to me being the "best friend" but thats all. Of course this may just be me being a hopeless romantic.
And now I come to you, great anonymous internet, for advice on what I should do to to help her find what she wants, even if it really isn't me.

ok coming from person you don't know one. That happens alot people get confused about how they feel about a close friend or someone they like. it happened to me enough if you don't think she really likes you don't have a relationship though its mad hard since you like her. talk to her about it and try to explain what you think shes feeling. just my two cents best of luck.

Next time you're hanging out in a quiet setting, look her in the eyes.

Im in a similar situation, it didnt work out too well, i think when you are close freinds with a female things get a bit blurred and i know from experience you can develop feelings for each other, just be careful and dont get yourself into the hopelesslylove scik situation im in. Best of luck.
