don't knock paint on the head just cos there are way better programs about, i mean, obvioulsy, theyre much better for things like slightly drastically editing photos, creating graphical artwork using layers etc but i find paint really useful for the basics. you can create simple buttons, logos and basic drawings and stuff.

paint is VERY user-friendly; anyone could use it without any knowledge of graphic design, just a bit of experience with using computers.

anyway, there's nothing i can say to make anyone start using paint, but take a look at this, a guy drew the whole thing in paint. he didnt copy and paste anything into it and didnt use the text tool.
i hope you will be as amazed as me and shane were!

yeh, i'm amazed by that! it's unbelievably good!

it must take a lot of thinking about, how he used circles of shaded colors and lines to create effects. truly fascinating. i can't imagine how you would draw Gandalf in paint lol. incredible

I love paint for starting a drawing, then just open it in photoshop and go further editing it

I used mspaint for this

Actually, I don't have that program on the computer. I erased it from the installation CD that I made, along with 300MB or so of other stuff I don't want on Windows (especially Outlook Express which I cannot even tolerate it's being on the computer).
