It depends on the girl really I think. Confidence can be attractive, but only because that means the guy tells the girl how he feels and that he wants to go out with her/shag her. Lol.

Some girls go for the more laid-back guy who's a bit shyer and stuff though.

Having confidence helps because it means you can have a laugh and a good time without feeling stupid or caring too much about what people think.

But being overly confident is a turn off for girls because it looks like they're trying too hard, full of themself, or just immature. Lol.
