ffs i am so fucking selfish. one of my friends from my old school mum has died. he tried to talk to me on msn the other day (the day that his mum died) and i said i was busy. i feel like a fucking ass hole. i feel so sorry for him i was to wrapped up in my own problems to notice that he was in need. :( what should i do. i mean people that he hasnt even spoken to in like a year were at the funeral and i didnt even bother to talk to him when his my was diagnosed with the big c. i am fucking piece of shit of a friend.

I know its hard, but im sure he'll realise that your here whenever he needs you. Lifes too short to be worrying about things, awful thing to say, yes, but relax, ease up a little, talk to him and explain to him that you did'nt understand the situation at the time!

You don't need to feel guilty, but you should try to be there for him when you can and when you're not busy, because he needs his friends more than ever now.
But if you were busy that's not your fault you're busy you're busy, that's that.
You have your own life too and he is not your responsibility you're not his keeper.
