A few off the top of my head:
- Nationalise the rail industry, and other similar transport sectors.
- Apart from the neccessary ones, privatise wherever possible. Including eventualy healthcare and education, with subsidies for the very low income groups.
- Cut goverment spending and tax, wherever, and whenever possible. Only tax to remain on items such as cigurattes, alcohol, petrol etc. where there is a genuine social cost involved.
- Legalize all drugs and prostitution.
- Open up discussions on the European union and its benefits for England. If it is not beneficial, pull out and seek fair trade agreements as an independant member of the WTO.
- Only give the vote to those who have achieved a certain equivelant in qualification.
- Any council houses removed; it is not the goverment's job to house you.
Tough love policies really.

• Make any talk of 'political correctness' punishable by a televised pantsing
• Have Ken Livingstone put into public stocks and have people que to stick cocktail sticks into his eyes.
• Legalize Drugs and Prostitution but impose much stricter penalties for crimes related to them.
• Tell the EU to fuck off.
• Make the process of deporting illegal immigrants much quicker and less pleasant.
• Remove motorway speed limits.
• Arm the police.
• Make government aid much harder to get.
• Ease overcrowding in prisons by implementing a 'get what you give' policy where applicable
• Outlaw caravans

I lol'd. But not because of your oh-so-poiniant act of rebelliant non-conformity, more because a chap such as yourself, who is clearly compensating for something, would appear to have chosen a picture that makes an unjust representation of certain anatomical shortfalls.

LOL, lectures on pseudo-intellect from a fool that can barely spell let alone understand most of the words he's spouting, priceless.
Are you honestly going to try and argue that your use of the word troglodyte wasn't to try and make yourself look smarter? I must ask, of the two of us, is it not you who is quite clearly the greater pseudo-intellectual?

I've proven I can't be banned. So get over yourself.
You've proven you can't be banned BY THE METHODS USED SO FAR.
On topic:
I would begin more research into the benefits of drugs such as cannabis, which has cancer-suppressing properties, and find ways to use the chemicals in these drugs in a safer way for the general public.
Bring back smoking in pubs, but only in a separate room, or a well ventilated area.
Allow greater speeds in more remote areas that have straightish roads.
Make it illegal to play distasteful music (ie: Most of what chavs have playing) over a certain volume from your car. The maximum volume will be lower if your window is open. A rough guideline is that it shouldn't be heard from the pavement on the opposite side of the road.
Get input from teenager for ideas on constructing a site for them to socialize. Kind of a more grown up play area. There will be 1 per 5square mile in housing areas.
Allow more option for people to purchase council property.
Reintroduce those old toilets they used to have in the city centre that're covered in advertising and it's like a permanently placed port-o-potty that you pay 10p to use.
Get a transport minister that brings bendy-buses back!
nyx
February 29th '08, 10:26 PM
Wow, I agree with George on something political.
I would also nationalize public transport.
Join the Euro (I can't be assed with changing currency).
Introduce a sliding scale on tuition fees depending on how much each course actually costs (why am I paying £3000 a year, for four hours a week and a few books, when science students get 20+ hours a week and expensive equipment?)
Tax fat people (not sure about the practicalities of defining a fat person), for using up too many resources.
Introduce lots of renewable green power and quit with the nuclear crap and make the environment the top priority.
Begin unilaterally disarming
Stop building on god damn flood plains (DID YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED LAST SUMMER?)
I'm a bit of an idealist really . . .
God.

In reality Clare, the main thing you'd be remember for is becoming the first PM to fall asleep during PMQ's.

I'd rather it be the other way as people that are younger can get a job if they want, but they don't have to.

Hey all, my first post here. So i have controversial opinions about well.... most things. but here are my fundamental ideas:
1) STOP illegal imigration
2) The the EU that we will do what we want and that if they disagree then they can fuck off
3) NO MORE PC'ness, seriously political corectness is an infringment upon free speech
4) Stop trying to stop iraqis killing eachother. Its a waste of resources and what them barbarians do to each other really isnt any of out business.
5) Instead of fighting iraqis we should invade zibabwe nd get rid of President Mgubi. The guy is evil and he is causing a premature end to so many lives its simply unacceptable in a modern world
6) Cut fuel duty. Significantly. Seriously, the price of everything is raising above inflation rates which is causing a significant strain on low earning families, and will eventually effect the middle classes
7) Stop giving out benefits like they are peanuts!!! the taxpayer is paying for far to many lazy bastards to sit at home doing fuck all and this really does need to stop
8) MAke university free. Seriously in a country where everyone has theoritcally equal opurtunities making people pay to earn a degree is stupid
will post some more another time, and for now im interested in the opinions of you people

Wow this started so well but ended so poorly!
Nationalising the train industry would be a great move. Definatly agree on that one.
Privatise healthcare and education? I dont see at all what that would achieve. Didn't Thatchers rule teach you anything??? Privitisation = bad.
Only tax remain on demerit goods? That would nowhere near pay for things such as the military. Oh wait did you want to privatise national secuirty too?
Fair point on opening discussions about EU and its benefits, but if we left it would take a some time to rejoin the WTO. I mean look how long China has been trying for. Even if we rejoined in a short time the higher tarrifs we sustained for that short time would cripple industries which mostly export.
Council housing stopped? What about those who cannot work? Or those imancipated at a young age?
Im sorry but if Britain was like this it would quickly turn into some poor Eastern European-esque country very quickly.

Actually it taught me the exact opposite.

.
Are you sure it wouldn't? Anything with a harmful social effect I believe I said, that has a lot under it's belt. Taxing polluting industries, taxing alcohol and cigarettes, taxing petrol, vehicles, chewing gum manufacturers, etc. That's a lot of revenue can be made there, easy enough to fund those needed public services. Although I agree there may need to be small levels of taxes to fund them.

.
We are already members of the WTO if I recall, I simply suggest we become indepedant members outside the EU if that is found to be the right thing to do. I would actualy suggest we join EFTA which would give us the benefits of free trade with Europe anyway.
Council housing stopped? What about those who cannot work? Or those imancipated at a young age?
I do not suggest we do not help them. Just not in that form.
Im sorry but if Britain was like this it would quickly turn into some poor Eastern European-esque country very quickly.
I do not believe so.

Fact; the smoking ban is a smokescreen to divert your attantion away from the medical harm caused by air pollution.
Fiction is what the British government thrives on.
Fact; the health of the British nation will not improve by banning smoking anywhere. This is because air pollution is now causing mass human sickness but the polticians do not wish this to be known. Unfortunately for them, I am going to provide the clarified details and create jobs in the process.:)
