Well since my last catastrophe, I've been looking for a girl, but have also been more cautious than ever.
This one girl I've taken notice of, and whom I run into a lot in the hallways. Pretty, pink face. Hair no longer than her shoulders, but so simple it's perfect... I can't say I like her, but I definately want to get to know her.
And (me being in highschool, and a great student) because of my awesomeness, I'm the one guy in that class that helps everyone else pass. SO the guys in that class (mostly just 3 of'em) decided to get me hooked up for Prom. Guys are Carmine, Anthony, and Kevin. I am Chris.
Carmine: So, uhh, chris, whatdoya say we hook you up for prom, huh?
Anthony: Yea this is gonna be so awesome!
Kevin: SO hey, Chris, any girls you've had your eye on?
Carmine: Yea anyone?
Chris(me):This one girl at lunch, don't really know her though....
Carmine: AAWWW Chris has a giiiirrrlll!
Chris: I don't know her ... I want to get to know her.
Kevin: Yea shuttup Carmine, ... so Chris, how's about we stop by your table tomorrow at lunch and you point her out to us?
Chris: Alright, cool.
-next day- (i hope this story-play format is more interesting to read)
Chris: Hiya Grant, Anthony#2, Jennifer, Taco (some philippines kid) and Mike (<< all of'em sit w/ me at lunch)
"Kevin pops out of nowhere"
Kevin:So, Chris, who's the lucky girl?
"I point her out, in her bright green shirt"
Kevin: Ahhh, nice. She's kinda cute. Alright man, cya in class.
Chris:Seeya.
"minutes later, after having finished my lunch, I look over to the girl to notice Carmine behind her"
Chris: No he isn't ....
"I look over across the cafeteria and see Kevin standing up, giving directions to Carmine, who's standing behind that table of people pointing out which one she is"
Chris: Omg no they aren't ...
"Being very quick, I take my leave and disappear, returning to my table and sitting, waiting to be dismissed, and hoping Carmine didn't say anything stupid ... Back in class, I notice Carmine and Anthony come in late"
Anthony: Chris!
Carmine: - Hey buddy! We've got it set up, man. She's gonna be waiting for you at her lunch table tomorrow-
Chris: What EXACTLY did you tell her?
Carmine: Just that you wann tap that thing-
Chris: - WHAT!?
"Anthony LOL"
Carmine: -Hehe, naw man, nothing much. Just that your gonna see her tomorrw at her lunch table.
"Kevin bursts through the door"
Kevin: *gasps for air* Her name's Ashly!
"Now, what had happened before that was, after lunch, I went to my class, she went her way. Carmine and Anthony ran after her, and Kevin lagged behind. She's a fast walker (much like myself) and Carmine and Anthony are --- a little slow. They catch up, stop her, gasp for air, and arrange a date (just simple me seeing her tomorrow @ lunch) w/ me and the girl. Kevin catches up, gasps for some air hmself (girl starts walking off again) and ...
Kevin: Ok guys, did you get her name?
Carmin: DOH!
Kevin: AGH-!!
"Kevin now races, with all his might, after the girl, trying to stop her once again"
Kevin: Hey, waitup! What's your name?
Ashley: Ashley
"Upon stopping, Kevin nearly collapsed, gasping for air (lazyass kid), and carrying his legs back to make it to class"
"Back to us being in the room after this having happened"
Chris: Alright, thanks guys.
~Nex tDay~
"I'm walkin towards my clas in the morning, carrying my handful of books in my hands, and Anthony#2 walking with me, when we run into the girl at her locker in the morning"
Anthony#2: Hey Chris, there she is! Talk to her! NOW!
Chris: No, it was scheduled for lunch, don't ruin such a good thing.
"Anthony grabs me by my right elbow, and swings me 360°, takes my books, and lands me perfectly infront of the girl, who's kneeling down at her locker. I squat"
Chris: Heeeyyyyy (gulp)
Ashley: Hey
"ashley looks up, and doesn't seem to be showing much emotion"
Chris: You know those three guys that like, assulted you yesterday with questions?
Ashley: Yeeaa.
Chris: Yeeaa ... what exactly did they tell you?
Ashley: Basically that one of their friends like me....
Chris:OOOOOkay. Seeya at lunch.
"stood, took my leave"
Later at lunch, she got there kinda late. she sits next to this one guy, and across from 3 girls. The guy goes off to the vending machine, and I take my chance. Walk over, sit, and greet her with another -
Chris: Hey
Ashley: Hi
Chris: I hope this whole me being everywhere thing isn't like, freaking you out, or creepy or anything
Ashley: Mmm, A little wierd, that it's okay http://www.rouseindahouse.com/images/smilies/smile.gif .
"Now this is where I go 'YESS!' on the inside"
Chris: Cool ... Hey I'm sorry about my friends interrogating you, you'll have to forgive'em, they're jerks.
Ashley: These are my friends, [nae#1], [name#2]
"I obviously have horible memory for names Xo as she introduced 2 of the 3 girls sitting infront of her. The third hadn't noticed I came nor that I was ever there"
Chris: Hi girls. "I face Ashley again" I saw you around a lot, you know, had to get to know you.
Stranger: Excuse me, can I sit there please?
"This was the kid who usually sits there. I've taken notice that Ashley is usually quiet and enjoying her food until he arrives, but once he gets there she's talking, using her hands as she speaks, and laughing. Doesn't seem like the kid is too much a part of the festivities she brings with his presence."
Chris: Right "Stand up in a rather odd fashion, seeing as the kid's giving me little space, and his books are right next to the seat where I would normally place my books. I walk over to my table, sit, and don't ever look back. DANM I should've looked back and wink or something. That guy and I exchanged glances, and I don't think he likes me much, heheh."
And that's what happened as of yesterday on Friday, March 17th.
What I've learned about her is that she is in a smart-kid program (and I'm smart even for my level), she's UNDER my level (freshman, possibly sophmore), 14-15 years old (i'm 16), that her name is Ashley Cook, she's SINGLE *WOOOT*, and that a girl on my bus is friends with her.
I wanna make the impression of a nice quick-witted guy (which I am when I'm not gettin' the butterflies) and win her affection! But this other guy might be competition ....
I think me being in a higher class (being a Junior myself) is quite the advantage, but I want to know if it's wrong. Sex is the last thing on my mind ... I like her, and want to get to know her.
