Hii everyone. :)

I'm quite new here and I don't post a lot, but I have this situation.
On the 2nd of January my boyfriend and I will be going out for 2 years.
He's acting quite mysteriously about working on this surprise for me and I yesterday, I got to thinking about a present for him too.
I talked about it with a friend and it was her idea to organize some sort of search for him during which he will have to pass places about which we have memories together.

(By the way, please correct my English if you see mistakes/things you would have said differently. I'm from the Netherlands so I can be quite insecure about some sentences.)

Up until now I've got the theatre, the ice skating rink, some sort of cafe where our first date was, the building where he gets his piano lessons(?) (the translator says 'school of music', but that sounds too dumb) and a snackbar where we sat after school many times.
My plan is to get envelopes with 'the next hint/place' to each place.
Do you guys have any idea of things that would be nice to do? My friend was joking about a trail of rose leaves to my bedroom door at the end of the search, haha.. I don't think I'm excluding that! ^^

So, boys, two questions:
1. Which present can you possibly give a guy which is always right and not very very expensive? Thanks in advance, guys are horrible to pick presents for, or at least, 'my guy' is. xD (Just so I've got a little present beside the search.)
2. Would you like this kinda search-like thing I'm planning if your girlfriend would do it?

Girls, one question: Any romantic ideas on how to bring it?

Thank youuuu for reading this annoyingly chaotic story on a half-planned idea.

Love, a desperate girlfriend.*which is, of course, hugely exaggerated :)*
