I'm failing.

I don't really know where else to put this..I suppose it comes under 'Emotions' but on with it.

Today, I brought back my report from school, it shows my expected GCSE grades as all Cs or Bs, and my projected grades, all Cs or Bs (I have some Bs where im expected Cs, not C where im expected Bs).
Anyway, I brought it back, gave it to my mum. Later I come down and she told me she was "Abit underwhelmed". I thought these were pretty good/decent. But no, I'm a failure. Basicly. This is really getting me down.. :(
To be quite honest, its helped just typing this out..

well from what you've told us, it doesn't sound like your mom was calling you a failure, just that shes a bit disappointed. Theres a huge difference there man.

As long as your happy with your grades, and there going to get you to where you want to be, then who gives a shit what anyone else thinks.

Don't look for your self worth from other people, it never ends well.

I know exactly how you feel. My biggest fear in life is disappointing my parents, it sounds lame butits true so I old have taken that very hard as well.

But like fuzzy says, you are a long way from failing, Bs and Cs are very good marks, you can go a long way with them, all you need to do is focus on wht you want to do in life and make sure you have the marks to do that. If you are determined and hardworking then your um has no reason to complain.

I'm not sure there's anything that can be said other than that, just keep your chin up and keep going. Don't let it get to you because that won't help you in the long run, always strive to improve.

Look, even if your mum seemed a little disappointed you're certainly not failing so don't get down about that! I understand that it can be harsh when your parents are disappointed but I'm sure your mum will be proud of you as long as you try your best. :)

If you are working hard to get them grades then you will have an advantage over the other kids who are getting higher marks due to natural tallent. because there come a stage where natural ability runs out and the people who have had to work hard all the way through are more prepared to crack down and get on with it whereas those who sailed through on natural tallent alone wont know how to study aswell.

Yeah.Keep your chin up and be proud of what you have already! I'd say they're pretty good so far. And don't forget you still have time to improve on them!

Honestly, they are great grades to be getting. I was predicted them about a year ago. I'm now predicted to get D's and E's (Even though I'm not taking my GCSE's this year, thankfully.) There are a lot of people out there who are getting lower grades than that. At least they are within the A*- C category which is what most colleges/sixth-forms/whatever look for :)
