well arent i the bastard who was sat in my fav pub next to where they played in colchster, when they themselves sat down with me after the gig....not to mention the drummer coming into my shop on an almost weekly basis! :D odd bunch of guys i must say! you very much should have come last year, it was amazing! try get there for this one! IF i can get my hands on a VIP pass (i 'know people') then ill have a ticket for sale....but like i say: IF!

Setting up shop in the VIP pod village. Arriving at around noon on Wednesday, hoping to see Download off from the very beginning.

We're going Wednesday for no apparent reason whatsoever.

Well! Being a VIP was fun. Hooked up with all sorts of people in the lounge including, but not limited to:

and even Darth Vader and Boba Fett! Became infamous amongst the artists for my direct affiliation with the owner of The Download Monkey who, quite rightly, may very well have replaced Download the Dog.

You didn't manage to wiggle your way into the After Shock Arena on the first few nights, did you? They had Suicide-esque Girls doing some whole dominatrix thing. Crazy shit.

The front row was an expereince and a half. The reverb fucks you up. Or that might have had something to do with being in the same position since Amplifier, fueled on cereal and half a 9" pizza. Either way, it amounted to the best - albeit most painful - sleep I've ever had.

I was a little disappointed with them to be honest - M didn't really come out that much, and - although I do love their music - it was a little too samey for me. The they played Schism and Vicarious twice, which was completely unnecessary.

Nothing will every compare to Deftones. I missed them in '03 but I'd be dammed if I wasn't front row for them this year!

Ended up drinking Johnny Walkers in the lounge with him prior to his K! interview.
