No. You get all up-in-arms about how we don't care about natural disasters. People who decide they want to take a moral stand about this kind of stuff piss me off.

We accept crime as a part of life, but when a natural disaster hits, suddenly every closet humanitarian is ready to do something.

I care, i donate money when there is a call for relief, i may even be going to Haiti to do relief work myself....

however....along with the rest of the world...in a months time, i wont give a fuck. (unless im there of course)

I care deeply about natural disasters, they get a bum rap.

As of today, I'm starting a charity to raise money for the promotion of natural disasters, and to fight the stigma associated with being a natural disaster.

What happened in Haiti is horribly unfortunate, which is why it's great money is being raised and people are volunteering and going over there to held with aid and relief efforts.

....but what exactly does this thread accomplish in terms of helping Haitians? What does "taking a stand" mean?

I don't really think they care that people on some internet message board are concerned about natural disasters. I think they appreciate people who are actually doing something constructive much more.

I do feel bad for the people who are suffering.. but there's not much we can do personally other than donate. N a lot of people havent got enough money for themselves, let alone to give away.. so its not always because people dont care.

Nature Happens. And you know what? People need to die. The world is overpopulated. Why do you think shit is fucking up so much? The earth is attempting to kill everybody off until it gets back to its carrying capacity. And good for it, it should be doing that. It does that all the time. "Oops, I'm overpopulated, Have a plague." or "Stop breeding you fuckers, or else 10 more volcanos will become active!"

Still its nice to help out the victims of natural disasters... ALTHOUGH, more 1st world countries who donate mass amounts of money really should clean up our own disasters before helping others.

Oh and PS: Haiti wants its orphans back, nasty Christian groups. Stop taking their kids, just cause you've got an excuse now. Lots of orphans and street kids in North America too you know...
