GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.
Version 2.2.11 of the GNU Image Manipulation Program is now available. This is a bug-fix release in the stable 2.2 series. Please see the NEWS file (reposted below) for a detailed list of changes. The source code can be retrieved from ftp.gimp.org and its mirrors (list below). Binary packages for the various supported platforms will become available soon.
