does anyone here ever not really miss the big things like having a girlfriend or boyfriend but the small things like hugging on the sofa or sitting holding hands at the back of the cinema. i have just got out of a relationship and i dont miss her, i jsut miss all the small things. does anyone feel the sameway?

I do. I miss all of the small things, such as holding hands at the cinemas and all of the thing that you just mentioned. It would be so nice to find someone to do them thigns with again. And it's even worse when I can't walk down the street and seeing someone kissing or holding hands...it's rather depressing.

I'm going to a concert on Wednesday with three couples. It makes me really sad to know that I don't have that person to do the small things with. Holding hands, watching a movie together...
I've been single for over a year, and each time I see a couple it gets to me.

I'm the same. I see a couple and feel so out of place and lonely. I've been single for nearly two, I'm so picky. It's really awful when you really want someone to share things with and you haven't got anyone. And when other friends talk about their boyfriends in front of you... that drives me up the wall.

That's why I don't talk about my boyfriend to anyone or I don't go out with any of my friends with him because I wouldn't want to rub itin.
But yeah, I know what you mean. When I'm single I get that. It's horrible.
