How do you get the courage to tell a guy u like them?

I am so confused! There is a boy who i am friends with and he is sooo nice, but i could never tell him how i feel because his best mate likes me and this boy is so good looking. I tried to let the feeling pass but every time i think about him i get butterflies in my stomach-something feels right. I really need some advice

if he really was friends with you he would let the whole you liking him pass, and talk to you about it. not just ignor you. in the long run its him whos lost a friend.
