...was expecting a nice cheerful sunrise but came out with some nice results nonetheless.

Very grungy but what do you expect for sheffield and its outskirts, I like them.

You must of been bored or extremely awake to go for a walk in the morning.

the lighting and colour in the third photo is stunning, yet has an eerie kind of tone :/ hmmm, it confuses me to be honest. Almost like cheery and heart warming, as if looking at a christmas scene, due to the lights on in the houses, but at the same time creepy like something bad is going to come

over active imagination, sorry lol

They're all great though Shane, and it's nice to see some close-ups and obscure photos like the can on the branch

Sorry Shane :P 'grungry' distracted me. I really love the tenth picture, I don't know much about photography but I think they're all awesome.

Some of these photos are a sad attempt to be "artsy". I'm not much of a photographer myself but even I know that taking aimless pics other than scenery is just totally and utterly pointless. If you're not taking a scenery pic, than it's a must to question yourself on what you're shooting and what people could get out of that pic.

1st shot I can sort of understand, there's a feel of desolation and decay, but what about pic 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 12, 13, 14 and 15? What the fuck are we meant to get out of those ones? Seriously, 1's the only decent shot, 3 has potential and all but the right hand side is so fucking bland.

Plus a lot of your pics have way too much sky in it, figure out what ratio of land/sky would look good. Another thing you've got going on is that you center shoot all your subjects, like pic 1, 8, 9 and 14, you highlighted the subject of matter by center shooting it which screams amateur. It worked for 1, but you should have used rule of thirds to make the pic more interesting and broad than just focusing the whole pic on one thing, it tends to bring out the subject of matter even more while making the pic situation much easier to comprehend.

It was less about trying to be artsy and more about dragging myself out of the house to do something. Sunrise from my bedroom window looked amazing, unfortunately, by the time I had gotten to the top of the the hill, it had transformed into this abomination of british weather.

I'm actually surprised you like the first photo, is there any specific about it you like?

The Earth/Sky ratio is interesting, now that you bring it up. It's actually quite difficult on this hill to take any photos facing towards dinnington without either getting lots of the sky or lots of grass. Zooming in just seemed to look terrible due to the amount of moisture in the air between me and Dinnington. Besides, I was trying to highlight how utterly shit the weather had turned.

As for the subject matter being in the centre. Well I was trying to just keep focus on one object. I don't really like to give focus to one thing, off centre, when it's so close up, that's just my preference.

Great feedback though.

Thanks Cherie. It's alright.
And yeah, a lot of people seem to like that Photo and it's depth/focus. I took a few like that walking around but this one seemed to be the most lacking in rubbish on the ground. :P

I can't see the lights on the houses but thanks. ^_^
I actually took that photo just to show myself how much the weather had changed in the 5 minutes it took me to walk up there.

pretty darn cool. hate the first one though. could be on a magazine article about the environment or something, don't see it in an art gallery. but the rest. awesome. 3,8 and 9 are my favorites. also adoring the last one.

I think these pictures are stunning!

You took objects and areas an average person wouldn't even think about and highlighted them.I really like the first, sixth, seventh, eighth, tenth, twelfth, and thirtheenth images because they really show beauty from objects that could be considered "obsolete".

In addition, I also enjoyed the images of simple scenery, the coloring really fit the areas in MY opinion.

Basically, I liked all the pictures.

Btw: Nice shoes.

You woke up this morning
Got yourself a gun,
Your mama always said you'd be
The Chosen One.

She said: You're one in a million
You've got to burn to shine,
But you were born under a bad sign,
With a blue moon in your eyes.

When you woke up this morning
All that love had gone,
Your Papa never told you
About right and wrong.

But you're, but you're looking good, baby,
I believe that you're feeling fine, (shame about it),
Born under a bad sign
With a blue moon in your eyes.

Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes
Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes
Woke up this morning

You woke up this morning
The world turned upside down,
Lord above, thing's ain't been the same
Since the Blues walked in our town.

Baby, but you're, but you're one in a million
You've got that shotgun shine; shame about it,
Born under a bad sign,
With a blue moon in your eyes.

Woke up this morning
Woke up this morning
Got a blue moon in your eyes
Woke up this morning

When you woke up this morning everything was gone.
By half past ten your head was going ding-dong.
Ringing like a bell from your head down to your toes,
Like a voice telling you there was something you should know.
Last night you were flying but today you're so low
Ain't it times like these that you wonder if you'll ever know
The meaning of things as they appear to the others:
Wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers.
Don't you wish you didn't function,
Don't you wish you didn't think
Beyond the next paycheck and the next little drink'
Well you do so make up your mind to go on,'cos
When you woke up this morning everything you had was gone.

Woke up this morning
Woke up this morning
Woke up this morning
You wanna be the Chosen One.

Woke up this morning
Woke up this morning
Woke up this morning
Got yourself a gun.
Got yourself a gun.
Got yourself a gun.
