Wayne Rooney has suffered a fractured ankle in todays clash with chelsea and doctors say he will be fit in a minimum of 6 weeks. exactly when the world cup starts. Will sven keep him in the squad for germany?

Keep him? He was never in as the squad hasn't been announced yet.
He should go to Germany.

well, fifa i don't think allow unfit players to be part of the squad when selected unless they can regain fitness and rooney might be just out of time

Yes they do. David Beckham travelled to Japan and South Korea in 2002 whilst injured.

well then i guess we might me ok then. Beckham may'ed the quickest recovery from this injury. it took 7 and a 1/2 weeks. Will rooney make it to the last 16 stage? i think he will

rooney will make the world cup and will be selected injured or not...this could be good if he gets fit as the opposition might not be expecting to have to deal with him then all of a sudden hes player n they ant prepared to counter him as much as they should

We need the lad, all the medias wrote him off already with no real word on his fitness. There just going on his last injury so dont belive what you read in the papers yet. You can take an injured player, but you cant replace an injured lad. Should we take him? Yes, Its a gamble, but its a gamble that could pay-off big time, and even if he doesnt play we still have a very good team and I may be optimistic but we will still have a good chance of winning the world cup

yes we do have a good team, but it is a great team if we have rooney in it. he's like the Ronaldhino equalivant to england

Id say a very good team without rooney, a great team with him. With a good manager we can win the world cup....oooo....erm....
Robinson - 1 of the best keepers in the world
Neville - 1 of the best right backs in the world
Terry - THE best defender in the world
Ferdinand - Depends which Ferdinand shows up but potentially one of the best defenders
Cole - One of the best if not the best Left Back in the world, needs 1st team football though
Beckham - World Class
Lampard - World Class
Gerrard - World Class
J.Cole - Climpses of genius everynow and again, quality Player
Crouch - Could cause teams problems with his height....then again
Owen - On his Day, Brilliant.
Thats probably the line up, some people are saying Lennon on the left. Joe Cole behind Owen but I think Sven will go for this.

let me remind you of players such as: Ronaldo, Ronaldihino, Robinho, Kaka, Cafu, Gilberto Silva and the list could go on. And thats just Brazil

i'm not dening we've got a great team. but we NEED rooney after the last 16 depending on who we face

There is only 1 player that worries me with Brazil. The great man himself, ronaldinho. We will cope better with rooneys injury than Brazil would with Ronaldinhos
yeah, but ronaldhino int injured

Yes, mourinho is a good man, he gets too much stick. And yes Tim I know Ronaldinho isnt injured but Im just saying for England the Rooney injury isnt the end of the world cup, if big Ron got injured I doubt very much they would win it. I doubt England will win it, but I still think we'v got a good chance.
absolutly i can't c us winning it without him

If you remember Euro 2004 we were in top form against every team with rooney being the star man, untill he got injured n suprise suprise we went out as soon as he got injured....we would of won that tournament had rooney not got injured
must juust b unlucky with the portugese players wiv ferrieras tackle causing rooney to fall on his foot awkwadly
yeh brazil are a bit of a one man team to be honest but they still have lots of quality like adriano!
we can't win it without rooney no chance
