Iv been out doing shoots recently and realised that i keep forgetting things i know, and finding new things that are rather interesting while i'm out, but these things are usually forgotten as quickly as i come up with them, so i thought it would be quite nice to have a place where we talk about the basic ways we use our cams. we can mix and mach techniques and opinions.
1) i use my camera on Aperture Priority most of the time as its a steep learning curve and teaches you how to deal with different light levels and which apertures and times usually go together, for a new photographer this is very important probably far more important than ISO
2) turn autofocus off, i cannot stress this enough, especially in dimly lit areas autofocus is not your friend, will not do what you want and will ruin carefully designed shots
