Shit like that has been done so many times that you have to actually do something amazing with it for it to actually mean anything. Sadly your picture lacks any kind of emotion it's just a picture of a yellow flower. You were sweating for nothing.

Let's see you're 19 years old and your local news station wanted nature pics, "Local College Student's Photography yadda yadda yadda" dude shit like that happens all the time you can be a complete idiot with a camera and if you're really young or really old they'll call it great and get featured on a local news channel.
Or they just have shitty taste it's not like they have real photographers looking at it. Your shit lacks emotion which is the base of everything artistic and until you find it you'll still just be posting shitty pictures on internet forums and local news stations.

why don't you take some pictures and show us real talent and good taste.
and for the record there's no such thing as good taste in art. because it shouldn't be something that follows a checklist of criteria in order for it to be good.

That's actually bullshit used to make someone feel good about shitty art. If what you're saying is true then people wouldn't be making millions off it, art galleries wouldn't exist, and anyone who paints, draws, takes a picture, or does anything else that requires any ounce of creativity is doing it for no reason.
If you can't take any kind of negative critique you won't get better at anything. I might say shit that is kinda blunt but you should always take it and use it to make yourself better because if I see it then you know someone else sees it too. It's stupid to have people look at something and only expect them to say good things.

You don't always need to be different to create something amazing. I see Photography more as the art of "documenting the moment", to do that you need to make things look real a lot of the time, trying to be purposely "artsy" about it sort of messes with this.
Besides, it's a great Photo. The lighting and contrast between everything in the image is near on perfect. The focus really probably couldn't be any better, the flower petals and the stamen are crisp as hell, which adds great depth to the photo.
Sure, there might be millions of Photos of Dandelions around, though that's probably for good reason. Flowers are an amazing photographic subject as they are, themselves, always unique.

Sorry to say but that's not because of him it's because he has a good camera. Anyone with that quality camera can take pictures like that.

Not really, every photographer has there own style..Like Shane, we both have the same camera but different shooting styles. Some people point and shoot.. I go full manual as well as Shane to take control of the depth of field as well as shutter speed.
