It won't work if the addict won't allow them to help and refuses to listen to reason; she was a perfect example of a spoiled celebrity who got her way too much because people were afraid to tell her the truth: that she wasn't perfect like she thought she was

most celebrity addicts need some kind of moment of both enlightenment and embarrassment to get their act together. In Robert Downey Jr.'s case his was getting arrested for being naked and drunk in someone's driveway

she had plenty of these enlightening and embarrassing moments, but in some twisted fashion, she thought she was bettering her image for it when in actuality, people were witnessing a train wreck

She had a great unique voice. Its a shame she didn't open her talent up more and let the drink and drugs get in the way.

She's slagged off a lot but she was a troubled genius.

I don't know yo, she seems more like she was a troubled one hit wonder than a troubled genius to me

besides 'Rehab', I can't name a single song of hers

maybe that's because I'm kinda outta touch with most of the music today though; I only found out who this Nicki Minaj chick was a couple months ago

She's died too young, and yet you get these old rockers who took loads of drugs and alcohol etc in their youth and they're still around!
