I think that it was a quite stupid sign for Abramovich, Shevchenko is not that good to play with Drogba and Wright-Philips. Chelsea is just too good for him.

OK... Crespo is one of the best players in Argentina, right? What's happened with him in Chelsea? He played worse, much worse than before, because he's not an English league style player, But he was younger and learnt fast...
Philips have great potential, I remember when he played in Man. City, he was one of the best there, Drogba is a very technical player and he's younger than Shevchenko and still can get better.
Shavchenko is 29 and he has a very good past, but he's getting worse and the other strikers and attacking midfielders are getting better. I don't really believe that moving to FA team was a good idea for him, especially not Chelsea.

He's not getting worse. 27/28/29 is supposedly when players are in their prime. He's having a decent World Cup in an average team.

A lot better than Drogba ever will bew. Didier Drogba is an embarrasment and definatley should not be playing for one of England's top sides.

How can you compare Shevchenko with Wright-Phillips anyway? Both play different positions for a start...

Chelsea are a brilliant side. The only way they could have dramtically improved there squad is to get a clinical finisher.....they don't come much more clinical than shevchenko. Chelsea will win the league, the FA cup and the Champions league. All with pretty much ease. No doubt they will sign some more players and if a world class defender joins them I will defiantly bet on the treble.

Wright-Philips is the greatest potential in Chelsea's squad!!! I was talking about him because he's a growing potential and a great player. Shevchenko is in his best form now, he will improve a little when he recovers from the injury, but not to fit Chelsea in the end of the next season...
