Sonic Youth are teh_pwn, rly. They've been around since the mid 80's and I just love them mhm.

Rather Ripped is wonderful. Jams Run Free makes me quiver.
Washing Machine is also a great album.

sonic youth really is incredible. their influence is so wide-ranging; so many bands have taken after their example. i think rather ripped is great as well- some people weren't as satisfied with it, but i think it's a great direction.
