Black Metal

Just wondered if there are any fans of this extreme kinda music out there.

To start the discussion: what is your general impression of black metal bands and fans? Do you consider corpsepaint ridiculous or "true"? And how about Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir? Are those bands still "black metal"?

Any comments and thoughts welcome...

cant say i like cradel of filth much... dimmu borgir, well i havent heard a great deal though do enjoy a couple of songs.
my favourite black metal band would be naglfar, love sheol and pariah albums.

Cradle of filth can't really be considered black metal entirely. Most peole just call it gothic metal because it falls under different categories. Dimmu Borgir sound good from what I have heard, and the guy can sing like that live, unlike the cradle of filth singer.

Dimmu Borgir are certainly black metal, melodic black metal, but black metal the same.
