Make up..a girl's best friend?

i very rarely wear makeup and when i do its mascara and maybe a bit of concealer [when needed] ive taken a fancy to shimmer eye shadow if im going out for the night but i think thats ohkay :) when i go out, most nights i end up with kohl-like squiggles around my eyes [although because courtney doesnt have kohl, she uses eyeliner] it looks heaps pretty and very arab... untill you notice its on a pasty white girl :P :D lol

If I'm going out, I nearly always have make-up. I wouldn't go to the point of saying it's my 'best friend', but I do feel bare without it. Naturally, my skin is quite blotchy, and because I had problems with acne (I still have now - Hormones :P) my skin has been left scarred in places. Especially on my chin and around my mouth. I really hate it, but there's nothing I can do. I look after my skin as best I can, but the dark marks and patches will always be there :(

So yes, I use foundation mainly, and sometimes concealer if I'm having a very self conscious day.. And more often than not I will wear eyeliner and mascara. If i'm going out somewhere special - a gig mostly - I will use eyeshadow and 'glam up' for the occasion. Lol. Well, it's the only time I can feel special and good about myself :) I like to experiment with bold eyeshadows from the gothic ranges. They're ace to play with =D.

On my lips I always use Carmex, which is a bit like a chapstick, but in a tube form. It's not cheap really, but if I don't use it for two or thre days, my lips start chapping and it's awful. I don't wear lipstick, because my lips are quite.. full.. and it makes me feel silly. I may use a bit of lipgloss, or lip stain.

But all in all, I don't really wear a large amount of make-up - even though I own quite a lot.. Lol. And I wear it for my own benefit when I do.

If I am going out to town or with my friends or family out somewhere I will usually wear mascara and eyeliner and possibly eyeshadow, but in the summer I never wear foundation or concealer because it is really bad for my skin and it starts to dry up on parts of your skin when the sun shines on it too much.

If I am going to the beach I don't wear anything, just go looking natural, and if I am going out for a walk or a bike ride with my family then I won't wear anything either. I only ever wear makeup when I'm going out somewhere where people will be lookign at me lol!

I have spots but I don't paste concealer or foundation on them ebcause then they would get worse, So I just concentrate on making my eyes stand out in a nice way:)

I don't ever wear lipstick! It stands out too much(and I'm not talking a good way:P) I wear lipgloss or like the chapstick stuff to add a bit of pinkiness colour into it but other than that my lips are fine:) I just don't like it when I drink and it all goes on the cup;)

Hmm...girls best friend? I don't really call make up my best friend. I put on make up to look fresh and bright. Not wearing make up makes you look pale. But too much of it makes you look like a clown who doesn't know how to wear make up. So...there is always a balance of everything.

hrm, makeups nice in small amounts but when girls have loads it looks sick and lip gloss is really sticky when you kiss. For all the girls out there please dont wear it during a kiss. Its v annoying!

ya i'm guilty of always carrying my makeup with me. I have my eyes done and some lip gloss like a soft pale bronze or nautral one on and sometimes i'll put some bronzer on my cheeks i cant live without it lol ya maybe i can but i just love it! But i love coming out of the shower refreshed no makeup on just wearing my sweats and t-shirt and just relaxing and being comfortable without the makeup

yeah, I agree...It's diffinately not my best friend! I never wear make up or jewllery or any of that stuff...I'm a little bit of a tom boy when it comes to that stuff. It's too much of a hassle to wear that stuff and I take enough time to get ready in the morning as it is...can't imagine having to put make up on as well!!

I never wear makeup to school because were at an all girls school so there is no point in looking nice! My friends see me looking my worst, when I'm at school with no makeup and crappy uniform. When I go out I wear makeup but enough to not make me look fake. I wear foundation in the winter, but not in the summer! I wear eyeshadow, mascara and eye liner most at the moment!:)

i never used to wear it till like last year when i had to find a new hobby since i broke my leg from cliff-diving (dont ask).

i went out and bought all this shitty makeup from this stupid walmart kits and most of it sucks like a whore. so i went and bought quality stuff and i like my walmart shit more.

i dont wear foundation because i dont need it. i use stick concealer, various eyeshadows, eyeliner, mascara, blush somedays and sometimes ill use lipstick and lipgloss.

i plan to be a makeup artist in the future and im going to start my own line of cosmetics for teens and young adults. and foundation doesn't cause acne if you wash it off properly at night.

im such a tomboy so i dont really see why i like makeup so much but it makes me look nice and i think it really brings out my best features

I think if you use make up to enhance beauty, it looks a lot better.

When people plaster it on all over their face, it looks disgusting.

Eyeliner, mascara, subtle shades of eye shadow do the trick to help bring out nice features.

i have a friend who wears WAY TOO MUCH makeup. she spends hundereds of pounds a month on all this crap, she never goes out without it on, daren't let anyone see her without it, and spends about 3 hours in the morning applying it!
she even takes her full set with her when she goes away, like on expeditions and canoeing trips and stuff!

she gets spots because she puts so much foundation, then she tries to cover spots up with more makeup.
