So my 17 year old cousin, a year older then me, is getting out of juvi soon and he's moving to my city to live with his dad. He only just got in touch with his dad, who used to be a heroin addict. And he used to live with his mom before he got into juvi(10 months ago) but she also used to be a heroin addict + is now a crack addict. So anyways he really wants to do well. But his dad's on methadone and he thinks that his dad is going to start crack or something too. He wants to do really good out of juvi, but he can't go to school because he's way too far behind, he's at like gr.8/9 level, but he should be in gr.12. So he doesn't know very many people here, and I really want him to good too. I don't do drugs and I rarely drink. So what can I do to help him stay off drugs (i dont care if he wants to do a little pot, but nothing else) and influence him to be a good kid even though he might not be living in the best environment?
